AMA's (American Music Awards)

In this post I'm going to be talking about the American Music Awards which went on a couple weeks ago. This award show isn't as popular as the Grammys and some artists that won probably shouldn't have won. First of all the award for Artist of the Year went to... Taylor Swift? I'll admit she's a good singer but she other nominees were Katy Perry, Adele, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne so I would have thought Adele or Katy Perry would have won. Other winners were Bruno Mars for Male Pop artist, Maroon 5 for best Rock group, and Adele for Best Album. Surprisingly Nicki Minaj won both Best Rap Artist and Best Rap Album. Song of the Year Winners

In this post I'm going to talk about past Song of the Year winners. Last year in 2010 the song of the year Grammy went to Lady Antebellum for their song "Need You Now". I can see why this song won because it was very popular on the radio. My vote however was towards Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" because I think it was better. In 2009 the Song of the year winner was... Beyonce? Wow... Well apparently Boyonce won for her song "Single Ladies". I have no idea how that song one and I personally think "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon should have won because that song was a lot more popular. Anyway my prediction for this years Grammy Song of the Year winner is Foster the People for "Pumped Up Kicks", Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" or "Someone Like You" and Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger". Terrible Song

This post is going to be about one of the worst songs of all time! There are a lot of songs out there which means that there are a lot of bad songs as well. After a lot of research I have found that the worst song to ever see the light of day is, that's right! Friday by Rebecca Black! This repetitive song made youtubers instantly stop in there tracks and review this video. I have seen dozens of different videos saying how ridiculously terrible this song is and lets face it, its bad. But no! Singing a terribly written song with auto tune and still sounding like a dying cat wasn't enough for her. She needed a rapper. More specifically she needed a bad rapper who does his whole verse while pretending to drive with his eyes closed. But even with the song being terrible she still got over a million views in one day so you have to give her some credit. Intro

Hi. My name is Chase Newman and I'm thirteen and I like play soccer and listening to music. I don't have a lot of good music on my Ipod so I downloaded the Pandora Radio app. What this does is it makes a radio station on one of your favorite artists and it gives you songs that are similar. This really helped me learn about artists that aren't very popular. I'm hoping that this blog will tell people about artists that really should be more popular.
